Mountain gorilla habitat across Rwanda and Uganda
The Virunga Mountains straddle the Rwanda-Uganda-DRC border. Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda together hold roughly half the world's remaining mountain gorillas. Many gorilla-trekking itineraries combine both parks for a more meaningful encounter.
Most travellers combine this ecosystem with at least one night in each country. Tell us when you want to travel and we'll design a route that follows the wildlife — and handles all the border logistics.
