Tarangire – Ngorongoro – Serengeti
- Day01
Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Pick up from your Arusha hotel in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park, a 2-hour journey through the scenic Maasai plains. Tarangire is famous for its ancient baobab trees, its large elephant herds, and its high concentration of wildlife during the dry season. After lunch at your lodge, head out for an afternoon game drive. Look for elephants, lions, leopards, and the elusive greater kudu. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
- Day02
Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater Rim
After a final morning game drive in Tarangire, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area via the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Stop at a Maasai village en route for a cultural experience. Arrive at your lodge on the crater rim in the late afternoon, in time to enjoy panoramic views over the caldera before dinner.
- Day03
Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater in the early morning, when the wildlife is most active. The crater is home to the Big Five, including the endangered black rhino, as well as hyenas, hippos, and the famous flamingo flocks on Lake Magadi. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool before ascending the crater and driving through the highlands to the Serengeti. Arrive at your lodge in time for dinner.
- Day04
Full Day Serengeti
Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti, with morning and afternoon game drives. The central Seronera area is the most reliable for big cats, while the western and northern corridors offer dramatic river crossings during the migration (Jul–Oct). Your guide will adapt the day's plan based on the movement of game and the time of year. Return to the lodge for dinner.
- Day05
Serengeti – Arusha
Enjoy a final morning game drive, then transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Arusha. Depending on your schedule, you may have time for lunch and a day room in Arusha, or transfer directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey.
